Every year a special group of individuals who we refer to as Loaned Representatives (LRs) work alongside United Way staff during our campaign. These individuals are ‘loaned’ from businesses and organizations wanting to give back to their community while providing a unique professional development opportunity for their staff.

Our team appreciates the energy and many talents that LRs have brought to our workplace. In addition, this long-standing program is another way we are able to help offset our costs while providing the skills and expertise needed to fulfill our campaign.

Many thanks to the companies leading the way through our loaned representative program in 2014 including: Canada Revenue Agency, Public Works and Government Services Canada, BC Pension Corporation, University of Victoria, Camosun College and Island Health.

Please enjoy this short video capturing what it means to be an LR and why employers value this program.
