SENIORS TEA PARTY
When seniors have opportunities to connect with others in their neighbourhoods they are more likely to overcome isolation and day to day challenges. This fact spurred United Way and several community partners to team up with Silk Road and Victoria Public Market to offer a special tea tasting for seniors in our community on Feb 23, 2016 (by invitation only).
Building a bridge is one thing, but constructing a miniature playground out of popsicle sticks is another. Several engineering and construction firms are teaming up as a sector to show they care about the well-being of children and their families in Greater Victoria by participating in 2nd annual United Way’s engineering challenge. Their final projects will be judged and the winner will be announced on February 25, 2016 (by invitation only).
