Periods are a fact of life but for low-income, and particularly homeless women, menstrual products can pose a monthly financial burden. United Way believes that the pathway out of poverty starts with dignity. Providing resources and opportunities so that individuals in need have access to basic necessities leads to gender equity and self-sufficiency.

Tuesday, March 6, is Tampon Tuesday. The Victoria Labour Council along with the UWGV Labour committee will be partners in this campaign collecting menstrual product donations from Thursday, February 22nd to Tuesday, March 6th.

Help us “fill a bus” with products to help out women in need across the region. Thanks to BC Transit for supplying the bus and to Hillside Shopping Centre for hosting our “fill the bus” event on March 3. And thanks to community partner Period Posse and The Zone radio, 91.3.
