United Way is a leader in the social service sector with its dual role as a fundraiser and community funder. We aim to address the immediate needs of the community on an annual basis by funding a network of services, while creating long-term strategies to target the root causes of social issues. Since it takes everyone working together to change social conditions, we unite community partners, volunteers, donors, business, labour and government in a common cause of caring. We are the largest non-government funder in the Capital Regional District and we have invested over $144 million to build a strong and caring community since 1937.
