United Way of Greater Victoria Announces Director, Marketing & Communications

VICTORIA, BC – Patricia Jelinski, President & CEO, United Way Greater Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Young as Director, Marketing & Communications, United Way Greater Victoria. Jennifer is covering Heather Skydt’s maternity leave, the current Director of Marketing and Communications. Heather will be back in the spring of 2019.

Jennifer joins United Way Greater Victoria after five years with United Way of the Lower Mainland as the Assistant Director of Communications. Prior to United Way, Jennifer worked in media relations at BC Hydro; worked at the news desk during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games; worked for the City of Vancouver as Assistant Director of Communications and was the Director of Communications, Marketing and Development at Vancouver Public Library. Jennifer started her career in communications and public relations working at CBC in Vancouver, Regina and Toronto.

“With Jennifer’s 25 years of experience in communications, media relations and marketing with a strong focus on the public sector, Jennifer will be a strong addition to the team,” said Patricia Jelinski, President & CEO, United Way Greater Victoria.
